Sure the weather didn’t get the memo, even dropping a few inches of hail the night before in a wicked storm, but the clouds parted and the storm calmed, making for a great wedding day. Early at the salon, the energy was contagious and it carried throughout the entire day. After the ceremony the party really started in an incredible multi-tent reception. It was inspiring to watch everyone complete a specific task to make this unbelievable event come to life and when Lesley and Matt entered for their introductions, the guests were as thunderous as the the storms the night before. It was as if everyone simultaneously took a shot of espresso, the tents were buzzing with a radiant energy and it continued through every event. It was an incredibly personal event down to Lesley’s brother writing and performing the song for her first dance with Matt. They wanted to surprise their guests with a Same Day Edit which premiered during dinner, I hope you enjoy it as much as they did!

It doesn’t get much better than Betsy and Will’s party, um…I mean wedding. From the start of our relationship, I knew this was going to be a fun one but I think I might have underestimated that a little. The preparations in the morning were a great indicator of how the rest of the day would go and IT WAS A BLAST! Josh and I had so much fun working with Betsy, Will, their families and friends, at times it was hard to believe we were actually working. Please enjoy their Same Day Edit, which premiered at their wedding reception!

Sony and Irf’s wedding was spectacular in every way. From the location to the design, coordination, entertainment, everything! The Newport Aquarium proved to be the perfect location especially with Sony’s love for aquatic wildlife and it was nothing short of stunning. A tented and very personal ceremony outside with the Ohio River flowing beside was the precursor to an very fun evening inside the aquarium. Sony and Irf even scheduled time for their guests, many from out of town, to explore the aquarium on their own. This was definitely one of the most beautiful weddings we’ve filmed and we’re very honored to have been a part of it. Please enjoy their Coming Attraction.

You could almost categorize the weather on their wedding day by pre ceremony and post ceremony. Pre ceremony, it rained, and by rained I mean IT POURED. Everyone was paying close attention to the weather though because Lauryn and Chris were hoping for an outdoor ceremony with the Cincinnati skyline to their backs. Amazing as it may be, it rained until the last possible minute, just as they were setting up for the ceremony. It truly was unbelievable how the rain stopped, the clouds parted and the sun came out, all within a very short amount of time. Chris claims it was his doing, while others had their own ideas. Either way, it made for a beautiful outdoor ceremony. After the ceremony, the party got started and it did not stop, thanks to Jeff at Party Pleasers. It was a spectacular event filled with so many personal details and I’m honored to have been a part of it all. Enjoy their Same Day Edit, which premiered during their wedding reception.

Allison and Parker had a very intimate wedding as they joined their lives surrounded by their closest friends and family. The Grand Ballroom in the Westin in Columbus was the perfect venue for their wedding with its classic architecture and elegant ambiance, it was a definite match. Allison spent the morning preparing with her bridesmaids and family while Parker was doing the same with his friends from the Air Force Academy. Everything was perfect and not a detail was overlooked, in a word, it was stunning! They truly gave us so much to work with and were so excited to surprise their guests with the Same Day Edit, the reaction was powerful. Enjoy this short film which premiered at their wedding reception.

Every year, EventDV (the leading publication for all things event film) names the Top 25 Hottest and Most Influential Filmmaking Studios and we are incredibly honored to have have been included in such a prestigious list. Ok, honored is an understatement. I remember when I started filming weddings, I would look at the EventDV 25 and be so incredibly inspired by so many filmmakers. Over the last few years, I’ve had the opportunity to meet so many of them and continue to learn from them. I’ve also had the opportunity to give back and help others grow their studios, its come full circle. My wife Reagan has also gotten involved. She and our friend Jen Moon of Northernlight Filmworks created POSH; an educational and inspirational resource for women filmmakers. It has been amazing to watch her inspire and empower so many others.
Words truly can’t describe how much this award means, as John Goolsby put it, ‘its the highest honor awarded to an event filmmaker’.
This recognition certainly would not be possible without Josh and Sarah who continue to strive for the best and amaze me with their creative genius.
Oh yeah…
We were at Disney World for our family vacation when I found out about making the list, so it only seemed appropriate that I make this fun clip. Enjoy!

I can remember first meeting Andy and Jessica in the studio and how excited he was for his wedding. He wanted it to be perfect and in the end, it was nothing short of that, actually it was more than perfect! Ok, so the weather didn’t get the memo, but that didn’t stop their guests from witnessing one of the most stunning weddings I’ve ever seen. They shared their vows in the Hall of Mirrors, then the room was flipped for their beautiful reception. Andy was on top of the world and Jessica was right there with him. It was a huge honor to film their wedding and work alongside them, their families and an incredible professional team that was there to make sure that this would be a night to remember. Enjoy their Same Day Edit which premiered at their reception that night!

What could be better than a beautiful Winter wedding? A Winter wedding where the bride is hoping for snow! Secretly I was hoping for snowfall but when Meagan told me that she too was hoping for it, I knew this was going to be FUN! Meagan and Rob’s wedding took place at the historic Ohio Statehouse in the stunning rotunda. Between the ceremony and reception, we went outside to have a little fun and couldn’t believe our eyes when the good stuff was falling from the sky! This was an incredible event filled with so much personality and details. Enjoy their coming attraction!

This was a day that was beyond perfection. The weather was ridiculous, the energy couldn’t have been better and I got to work with an amazing team! Caroline and Christopher shared their vows at St. Xavier downtown before heading over to the Hall of Mirrors to celebrate with their closest friends and family. After the heartfelt toasts it was time to dance, and dance they did!
I delivered their film last night and shortly after received this email from Caroline, “OH MY GOSH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We love the film!!!! It is beyond awesome. I am probably going to watch it for a third time tonight! I am sure you could guess that I cried the whole time! It brought back the same emotion that we felt on June 19th. It is so hard to put into words how amazingly talented you are. We simply could not be more pleased and feel so lucky that you were able to be a part of our wedding celebration and that you were able to capture everything so perfectly. We can’t wait to show our families, they are going to freak out! :)”
This is the highlight of their Feature Film. Enjoy!
