• Erin + Adam: Coming Attraction

    View on ExposureRoom

In a week of pouring rain, Erin and Adam somehow had one of the most beautiful days for a wedding.  This storybook wedding started in Hyde Park and wrapped up at the Taft Museum of Art where Erin and Adam’s closest friends and family members celebrated their new beginning.  Erin was so much fun!  She even asked where my Chucks were, hoping I’d wear them that day.  As if that wasn’t cool enough, she even was thinking of the sweet dress shot before I even arrived!  I knew then, this was going to be an incredible event.  I had the pleasure of working with the amazing Robert White for the first time and I’m certainly looking forward to the next time.  Erin and her bridesmaids couldn’t have looked better thanks to the artistic talents of Nancy at Brideface and the incomparable Jen Nally.  The always awesome DJ Toad made sure all the chairs were empty and the dance floor packed as their guests danced long into the night.  This is just a preview of their film and I hope you enjoy it!

Shannon + John: The Same Day Edit

You simply could not have picked a better day for a wedding. Not only was the weather perfect, EVERYTHING was perfect. Shannon and John joined their lives in front of their closest friends and family and I’m incredibly honored to have been a part of it and to share their story with everyone. The energy was absolutely incredible and from getting to know them over the last couple of months I could really feel it escalate as their wedding got closer. Shannon and her bridesmaids were so awesome during preparations that morning, and John and his groomsmen were having the time of their lives starting with lunch at Behle Street Cafe, good good times! Dawn Dagenbach and her incredible team made the day flow with ease, and my rockstar photography friends Kortnee + Ted, were amazing to work with as always! After the ceremony the party kicked off at Cincinnati’s Union Terminal, which was absolutely stunning, the perfect location for a celebration. I was so excited when Shannon + John chose a Same Day Edit, they are always so much fun to produce and the reaction from the guests is always one of disbelief. They can’t believe they’re watching a highlight from that very day. They are taken on a journey and are able to see the preparations, the photo shoot, the ceremony and even parts of the reception that just happened a couple hours or minutes ago. This was no exception. Their guests loved it and I really hope you do too!

    Cari + Kyle: Coming Attraction

This was a wedding I was looking forward to filming for a long time. Cari + Kyle had a gorgeous wedding at the spectacular Drees Pavilion which has one of the best views of downtown Cincinnati.   I remember the anticipation of their first look as Cari stood in the gazebo looking out at the downtown backdrop and Kyle walking up behind her.  You could really feel the energy, it was truly an amazing moment!     From the preparations to their last dance, it was an amazing celebration. Cari and her bridesmaids were so awesome and really helped us get some amazing footage. Kevin Ford worked his floral magic and produced some of the best arrangements I’ve ever seen.   The Paul Otten Band played everyone’s favorites, Robert Ramundo showed off his crazy photography skills, and this elegant event was orchestrated by the talented Elisa MacKenzie  and her incredible team.   It was a day filled with love and laughter and I’m truly honored to have been a part of it all.  I really hope you enjoy their coming attraction!

Julie + Eric: Vintage Super 8 Coming Attraction

Two things that will always go together, a birdcage veil and super 8 film. There’s just something amazing about each one alone, but when combined help create the true meaning of vintage. Julie and Eric’s wedding was perfect for super 8, not only did Julie have a birdcage veil, but the intimate style of the celebration was awesome!  They exchanged vows on a beautiful day in May at Alms Park in the pavilion where the view goes as far as the eye can see. .  Everyone looked amazing, Ms. Nancy of Brideface made sure the ladies looked their best and Julie and Lindsey of Cincy Event Planning made sure not a single detail was overlooked.    I’m honored to have been a part of such a special evening and I’m really looking forward to creating their film, but for now will leave you with this. I hope you enjoy!

Christy + Tom: Super 8 Teaser

Without a doubt, one of the greatest weddings I’ve had the honor of being a part of was Christy and Tom’s. St. Xavier Church was just the beginning that night. The reception at Music Hall was incredibly unique and insanely gorgeous, thanks to Brigid Horne-Nestor of i-do weddings and events! Not one, but TWO live bands kept the guests entertained throughout the evening, including my favorite local band, The Rusty Griswolds. I’ve never seen a dance floor come alive like the one that night, it was AMAZING! I had the great pleasure of working along side Tine Hofmann, who was there snapping beautiful pictures one after the other! This was the first wedding I filmed in Super 8 and it was the perfect wedding to cover in this beautiful medium. Its truly amazing how the film brings a whole new life to the images in a way that simply cannot be achieved with any other medium. I had the film processed in widescreen format to give it a modern twist and to help it flow with the HD footage that I shot that day as well. I hope you enjoy their teaser!

Amanda + Ryan: The Coming Attraction

What an insanely fun wedding Ryan and Amanda had! Ryan’s a true Macintosh lover, so much so, their wedding had an apple theme to it. How cool is that?!?! Dawn Dagenbach of Details By Dawn did an incredible job playing with this theme, from the iPhone grooms cake, to the Appletini signature drink, the carved apples to hold votive candles and the the apple tree that held the guests seating assignments, everything was perfect! I had the great pleasure of working with Tracy and Crystal of Sandra Reed Photography for the first time and they were soooo much fun to work with. They even invited me along for the Day After shoot for Ryan and Amanda and I’m hoping to work with them again in the future. I hope you enjoy their trailer, which is a hybrid of their wedding and their Day After shoot!

    Stephanie + Ryan: The Trailer

Stephanie and Ryan had one of the most intimate weddings I’ve ever had the pleasure of filming. From the moment I first met Stephanie I could tell how important her family is to her and that became very evident on her wedding day. This was a wedding filled with their closest friends and family who came to celebrate with them as they begin their new lives together. When I heard they were doing a classic car photo shoot, I knew this one was going to be different. Varney Photography was there to make sure not a moment was lost and were a pleasure to work with. The details were incredible, down to the guests favors. Check out that bouquet! I’m not sure I’ve seen one more beautiful! This was an amazing Fall wedding and I’m honored to have documented it. I hope you enjoy their trailer!

Nicole + Britt: A Verdin Bell Trailer

Nicole and Britt were married on a beautiful September evening at the Bell Event Center and my good friends Kortnee & Ted of Simply Timeless Photography were along for the ride, and what a ride it was! Before the Ceremony, we had a SUPER SWEET photo shoot. The photo shoots are my favorite part of the day, its where I get to exercise my creativity and the sky’s the limit as far as what we can do. Walk on the suspension bridge during rush hour, done. Hang the dress in a tree on fountain square, done. The images that are created are like nothing you’d typically see in a wedding video. We’re creating art and preserving memories at the same time, its amazing. Britt and Nicole and the entire wedding party were a blast to work with and really helped breathe life into their trailer, I hope you enjoy!

    Anna + Kevin: The Trailer

What an incredibly beautiful day for a wedding this turned out to be, everything just fell into place and it couldn’t have gone any better. From the preparations at the salon to the ceremony and on to the reception, everything was absolutely stunning. Anna and Kevin were so much fun to work with, I really enjoyed getting to know them and their families. Tine Hoffman of TM Photography was there to document the day as only she can and had some really great ideas that came to life on the golf course right before the reception. This was an amazing evening filled with friends and family and tradition, including the moment when Anna’s mom handed her bouquet to her. Congratulations Anna and Kevin, please enjoy your trailer.

    Heather + Anthony: The Trailer

Shopping carts, couches, scaffolding, go carts, they all belong in a wedding trailer, right? You know this isn’t going to be your typical walk in the park photo shoot if Kortnee Miller of Simply Timeless Photography is involved in any way and it turned out to be anything but typical. I wanted to try a different approach to this one and focus on the fun of the day rather than the events of the day. It was an incredibly hot and humid summer day in Cincinnati, but that didn’t phase Anthony and Heather at all. They were up for absolutely anything we threw at them and we all had a blast together. Many times throughout the day, I would say to myself, “Is this really happening?” Seriously, I couldn’t believe we actually had the groom surfing in a shopping cart or racing go carts with the entire bridal party. Good, good times that day, enjoy the trailer!
